Female Guppy

Found in Antigua, Barbuda, Barbados, Brazil, Guyana, Jamica, the Netherlands Antilles, Trinidad, Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Venezuela. There are close to 300 varities of Guppies, they come in all kinds of patterns, colours and tail shapes. A peacful, omnivorous, livebearing fish. When keeping a mix of both sexes it is best to have 2 females to every male. When there is not a proper male to female ratio, the males will pester the feamles to death. Prolific breeders, a female will give birth every 21 - 30 days and have 2 - 60 + fry. Guppies can be acclimated to live in brackish as well as salt water.
